Shap International Kayak Film Festival goes into its fourth year with Another great line up.

We have Dave Biggin's latest project 'Whatever...' Dave and friends have been pushing the boundaries of what Scottish boating has to offer. They have led the way in a renaissance of exploratary steep creeking. 'Whatever...'  showcases new material for his upcoming feature length film. Get a taste here of some of his previous stuff! Add the extra polish of his recent video work, and the new stuff looks awesome.

'Demshitz - the Movie' shows some of the worlds best boaters doing their thing across the Americas. The control that they exhibit in extreme water is inspring, and really shows that the 'new school' of boating has come of age. There is a real 'WOW' factor with this film! Here is a you tube clip of what these get up to...

We feature an extract from Kent Ford's seminal 'Call of the River'. With very high production values and amazing footage Kent has documented the history of white water in a fascintaing way that really connects all the various aspects of the sport.

Corran Addison has sent footage of his latest new direction. Corran has been opening up new possibilities on the river for decades now. He's been instrumental in shortening boats, planning hulls, sharp rails, aerials. Often with sceptism at first, but he's been right every time so far. His latest project is river SUP.

We have a couple of shorts to through into the mix. All set in the glamourous Shap Memorial Hall (near junc 39 on  the M6) and for £7 on the door. Doors open at 7.

Its bring your own booze and refreshments, and will be a great informal atmosphere. Stay until the small hours for the aftershow party...
