Hokitiki Riki takes a hit on the must run 60 footer on Skookumchuck creek BC. Somehow he got away with it totally unscathed though :-)
Kayak porn watch will return soon, I have brought myself back from the depths of broadcast TV and have been doing the necessary research! The blogs have all been all updated recently. |

It's not looking good for river boating unless your heading to the far North West of Scotland. The rain there is due to stay, but will only move further South in a light band on Sunday afternoon. River levels are pretty low, the lake fed stuff is still just about moving but not worth traveling to.
Surf forecast is poor, but the tides are high so some of the races will be running (not enough for Arniside though).
Teeside is open in the morning, the Tryweryn is open from the Chipper down.
Have a good one (I want my new bike to arrive !!!) |

You will probably know already, but Wet West Padlle Fest (13th/14th Sep) and the Etive River Race (4th Oct) are coming up soon.
If you havent been up to the WWPF before then its good humour. Guaranteed boating and plenty of informal kayak banter (and beer). Best of all, the echo of the Andy Jackson is in their somewhere. I read that there is a biography of him due to published. I hope its good, because he has real claim to be become an icon. |
