 Fantasy kayaking - Start with a nice long wilderness multiday trip. Make it mostly mid grade with a few spicy bits. Throw in an exoctic culture and mix with a few good mates. Cook for a years worth of planning, and then serve fresh during a few weeks in summer.
Garnish with some exploring up side creeks and the finest vintage of clean waterfalls. Dream Dream Dream |

There is a light band of rain due to hit Scotland tomorrow morning and it may result in showers here, but that is about the lot for the weekend. Given the low levels already I guess the rivers will not be working.
Surf forecast is poor for the East but the Atlantic has a bit of swell. The tides are BIG though so the races will be working. |

 This how they learn to run rivers in Russia, after this extensive and detailed training they progress on to this kind of stuff. Serious stuff indeed and check out the time code! Similar theme on this one but it includes the boldest truck river crossing I've ever seen. Only in Russia ;-)
On a different theme Chris Dickinson has a nice Scottish blog going.

For a change - its dry. No rain is forecast for the weekend. There is still some water in the lake fed rivers. Just FYI its going to be prime fishing in these conditions. Even Scottish levels have dropped off.
Surf forecast is poor and tides are low. Time to remember what you did when there was no water ;-) or head down to pyranha fest. Next weekend is Wet West.
On the theme of fest's, Shap IKFF 4 is shaping up for the14th of November. Line up and details TBC but it will be a similar theme to before, and if the plans work out, the line up may be the best yet. |
