After another gruelling session on tinterweb, I think that this should entertain for a while. Lets  keep it to Europe this week (mostly).

How about some Norweigian waterfalls from riverkore and Bread and Butter, all these are in one run!

Vetebrae too fragile for all that? Big water on the Kalixalv in Northern Sweden. Europes answer to the Slave.

Heading to Austria this year? Fancy the Rissbach Klamm? Class 3/4 above and finish on this short hit of a gorge pictured for the annual AKC extreme event.

The future of playboating is below in Dave manby's Coruh trailer!

Dave Manby has sent in a trailer for the 2007 Coruh extreme race. The movie can be found in the media gallery and more information on the race itself can be found here www.coruhextreme.com

The clip features the rapids and events at the coruh festival and some fantastic footage of big boats pulling aerial wave moves -  love it!

No hope of boating during the week due to the unreasonable demands of your employer? Need some virtual coaching? Hopefully in what will be another regular weekly feature, I'll do some really hard work and sift through the best of the kayaking on the internet from around the world.

For big water in Europe check this out; The Kalixalv in Northern Sweden

LVM are carrying a clip about saving the Ashlu in BC which is well worthy of support. Loads of stuff is getting damned up for questionable micro hydro schemes over there

Here is some film of the Ashlu from the excellent Range Life Blog which also has got a new clip of BC.

Is this a good idea? were agonising about the future direction of the site at the minute so are really keen to get feedback about who uses it and why. As regulars will know, we are really keen that this doesn't become just a group of us telling you about what we did. Rather it should be something that everyone contributes to and uses. If anyone wants to write, rant, instruct or review is welcome. Anybody wishing  to can have the passwords etc to directly upload content. To be clear we are not making money on this!  We are though chasing funds for another river cam at present - anybody got any ideas?

Finally, for me, the heart of the site is the river levels updates as I think that we'd all get more out of paddling in Blighty of we made the effort to pool the info we have.

Nine days to go
Written by Shorty

Just a quick reminder that there are nine days left in the movie competition so if you have any editing to do are need to get started now is the time to do it. A few people have asked if a montage of photographs in video form can be included as a movie, and that is fine as long as its entertaining. Dont forget you dont need to go out and buy and specific editing software both the PC and MAC have built in editing software IMovie for the MAC and Windows Movie Maker for XP.

If you have a killer movie but are unsure of the best way to convert just give us a shout using the contact page and we will try to help.
