Andy Hart has sent in a short movie of some playboating action at the floodgates and brickchute on the Leven. It can be downloaded as usual from the Movie Gallery. The question being asked is does that Steve Ed actually do any work ?

Just a quick apology for all those people browsing the site late last night/this morning, I have been playing around with some background mechanics to improve on movie/photo uploads, this has caused a few hiccups over the past few hours but these are now resolved, its not ready to go yet but should be a big improvment when it does

The Design Crisis team have been kind enough to upload their short movie of the River Twiss that was shown at the Paddle Fest, it can be downloaded from the movie gallery.
We are in the process of redesigning the movie upload areas to make them more user friendly and also to allow larger upload sizes. If you have a movie that you woul like the world to see just give us a shout and we will get it online, dont feel you have to have edited a masterpiece short clips direct from digital cameras are just as welcome as DVD epics.
We will also be running a movie competition at the start of next month with some very good prizes so keep checking the site for the update.

It was great to see so many people turn up for the paddle fest last
night, especially considering how last minute the whole affair was. The
hall was packed and it was a great oppurtunity to catch up with people
we hadnt seen in ages, there was also a nice mix of veteran boaters and
up and coming youngsters ( I of course fit into the youngster category just maybe not up and coming).
The film mix was superb starting with the premier of Olaf Obsommer's
Sickline 4 with some pretty hairy boating over some gigantic drops,
this was followed by a sensitive piece called 'Where the Sun Never
Sets' from Rob Coffey .
After the first beer break we then moved onto the shorts from Rainchasers,Davey Biggin, Design Crisis, and Fat Cats
it was good to see the home grown boaters strutting there stuff in the
UK and abroad and it was well worth watching. Finally we premiered Steve Rogers new documentary See you next Tuesday which was a nice insight into BC boating.
Thanks to all involved in setting this up especially Steve Rogers, Richard Evans for organisation and Catalyst for use of the AV gear.
Finally a big shout to the hardcore few that were still dancing at 3 am when I went to bed.
