We are still working on a fix for the kent cam. Hopefully it wont be long now :-).
On the positive side the EA gauges are now, fully calibrated and colour coded. |

The larger rivers are still moving well. The Crake and Leven still have obstructions but many other runs are clear. Details are still being collected here. The forecast is for a light front to hit tonight, followed by another on saturday night/sunday morning. This may be enough to get the smaller stuff going but its looking marginal. the larger rivers should be working well though at medium levels.
Tides are high enough to be of interest at Arnside, so obviously the other races will be working. The North East coast has a two start surf forecast for Sunday.
Thanks for the enquiries about the kent cam - we are working on a solution and hope to have it back up and running soon. We have also updated the graphics for the EA data which is now colour coded to river flows. Woop Woop - thanks to Shorty and Cumbria Canoeists for this! |

The rivers are back in their boxes now, and many are reported to be clear. A light frontal system should make for decent water levels in England and Wales. Tides are low but there is good surf forecast for the NE coast, particularly on Sunday.
Jonny has negotiated an extension to the discount code "RAINCHASERS" which will get you 10% off at Actioncameras.
Steve Rogers has sent some great images of the Duddon valley, which are up on the blog here.

Harry Ashcroft, the search manager of Kendal Mountain Rescue would like to give a "friendly reminder/appeal to all paddlers to report lost boats to the police so as to avoid the scenario of a boat being washed up and the police asking the volunteer rescue services to search fruitlessly"
Obviously the same applies to other areas. Lost boats often trigger a search. This is particularly sensitive at the moment, but it is helpful anytime if a boat has been left to the river. |

As before, there is major structural damage and debris in Cumbrian rivers. This is now focussed on the larger, lake fed rivers. Quicker runoff stuff has returned to normal levels but there may be debris and changes in rapids.
In conjunction with DBP, we have created an area to collate this information as it is received. Please contribute - even if it is to confirm that a run is clear.
