I am in the process of coverting the site to WAP, what that basically means is that you can view the water levels news and blogs from any WAP enabled mobile phone.Specific setails on how to access the site can be found on the left menu by going to Mobile/Wap Site I have tried this on a couple of different phones and it seems to be working fine, if you have any problems could you e-mail me with details and make of phone. |

A couple of technical hitchs have popped up. I am in the process of playing with an integrated forum but did not mean to publish it live, so apology's to anyone that has registered.I need to do a little bit more work on that side. The intention is that the forum will be cut down to be specific to this site, I am aware that there are a number of other very good community forums out there at the moment and I dont want to step on anybodys toes. Secondly I forgot to put a refresh each visit option on the webcam which means that some peoples browsers will have had the same image on all day, I am about to fix that school boy error and hopefully it should be fine later on.

I am really amazed at the response to this page, I left a message on the http://ukriversguidebook.co.uk messageboard in the early hours and had 60 visitors online at 10 o'clock this morning. The feedback so far has been very positive. I have been asked to clarify the water levels on the Kentcam and have been out all afternoon taking pictures of the various rapids at the current level. I will add these images to the Kentcam page and will try to get similar shots as we get more water, this will hopefully translate the webcam image into something a little more meaningful. If anybody is interested in getting involved in contributing to the news or blog sections just send me an e-mail to

Just had word from Steve Rogers out in Vancouver that there is still time to enter in the BC Paddlesports film contest, entrants do not need to be based in Canada you just need to get your film out to them in one of the requested formats, more details below The BC Paddlesports is still looking for entrants into the 3 minute film contest. The three minute film contest is an opportunity for experienced and first time film makers alike to take up the challenge of short film production. The short film format doesn't require a huge amount of time or funding, just a great idea. |
