Well we have been promising it for a while and I am glad to say it is finally here, we have reviewed two interesting boats from the Czech company Zelezny and the write up can be found in the Kit section of the Paddlers Articles. The review contains some streaming video and we have also put some higher quality video in the movie gallery pages.

The classic River Swale event runs this weekend and at long last we have some water in the river. The date does clash with the NEC canoe show since BCU moved their date but it's on both Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th March. It's a full day out on the riverand early starts are recommended. Please follow the link for details, hope to see you there! Pete Ball, Swaledale Outdoor Club

Just got back from Stuart Millers talk at the Brewery in Kendal, it was good to see so many people out mid week, Stuart did a great job of explaining how he got into beck paddling and showed some interesting slides and videos of paddling some of the less well known becks in the area.
This was the last in this years winter talks but keep your eyes open on the Cumbrian Canoeists website for more events.
