kiwi_boofPorn watch has been away for a bit but these motivated sufficiently me to link to them...

Hucking Huge's Teaser of Haymaker shows a great series of drops run. Pretty tasty stuff styled. This creek in New Zealand shows some nice falls in what looks like a tight little spot - respect. This 100ft chute however leaves me totally unmoved. Looks like hucking meat purely for the sake of it, he ragdolled down it too! That is supposed to think it's clever and then rush to buy their products? Hmmm...

Remember any logged in user can add online videos to rainchasers. Just follow the media/videos menu then hit the 'upload' tab and paste the url (web address) of the video you think others would like to watch! Please put it the appropriate 'category'.

The EA gauge at Ulpha is down at the moment so there will be no data coming from it. We will put news through this page when it resumes.

The Keswick Mountain Festival is on the 19th-23rd. Pretty interesting line up, not much paddling focus, but I think we've all been forced to consider other sports during the drought!

comp_copyThe rainchasers film competition is back on in 2010. Pyranha, Windermere Canoe and Kayak and The Outdoor Warehouse have come up with grand prizes.

Its the same basic format. An online film about paddlesports, a panel of kayaking's and adventure film makers judges them, and the winners scoop;

Entries will be due in during August so you have plenty of time to plan, film and edit. Full rules are here. Differences from last year include a longer running time (2-3min), the public rating system within rainchasers will count in the judging and entrants will be asked to embed the sponsors video logo before submitting the film.

Jo at the EA is continuing with the EA data for now. She is a star :-)!

I'm told that they are in final preparation for launching their own system, but I have no further details at present.
