We have seen the list of gauging stations that are due to go live and there is a good spread across the region.
There will be no immediate way for us to incorporate the new EA data into our existing system map based system, but we hope this will change in time.
To make best use of the EA system a process of calibrating their numerical data against 'real' river levels will have to be undertaken. This is a large undertaking and will need significant community support to acheive. We will try and collate the information collected.
There are some catchments that are not covered in the new system. As the River Kent is covered, we may look into the possibility of relocating the new 'kentcam' once the EA system is established. A small catchment, central lakes location would be ideal! |

The rumour mill has been churning for a while, now but it seems that the EA are committed to publishing live online river data from the end of June. !!
The proposed format looks good, hopefully it can be honed top be the perfect solution to boaters (and others) needs. It will be such a step forward for the sport, and long awaited! |

It's been a while since the last Kentcam blew up but we have finally managed to acquire a new camera thanks to Cumbria Canoeists. I have had to move its location to a different wall but it still gives a good view of the river. As a result of the move the calibration images will have to be updated. Enjoy ;

As you can see we haven't filled the river with water just for the occasion ;-)!! |

Just a reminder there is a calender available in the downloads section of the site. All the pictures are of the and should remind of us the days when it used to rain ;-) |

The rivers are extremely low and due to stay that way! On the positive though the Ulpha gauge is back online so we can see if anything ever does come up again!! This drought is getting a bit beyond a joke now! |
