The current plan for the meet up after the "paddle for clive" will be at the Church in at Torver (just south of Coniston village). Hope to see you there.

Some fine fantasy lines material has been uploaded to the media gallery. Any boastful calls of "there is a line down there" may well be tested by reality, as its not far away! Thanks to Stuart Ridley for the pics and video clips. The blogs are updated,  (see menu at the top) and the cams are working !! As ever, all contributions are really welcome (you need to be logged in to upload). I have just thrown up a clip of from the upper esk

Another tree reported in the leven (other side of island now)

Friday Forecast 18th Jan

Its raining here in the North now and the rivers are up from a week of rain. The ground is sodden and it sall ready to go again. The lake feds are really high and the quick runoff stuff is paddleable but not huge today. Rain is foreecast fro wales tomorrow but his will move into a settled band north Wales to the Scottish borders on Sunday. Its not that hard, but on this ground I think stuff will come up. There are flood warning is place, but I think the any floods will be on the lower sections of rivers. Not looking as promising for Scotland.

Surf is coming from the atlantic but nothing on the east over the weekend. Tides are low.

Wye cams/porn

Ive added a site to the 'Whats up' page for the levels on the Wye and Usk. Also the Magic seaweed swell chart is back up again in that page.

Some porn;

See the wind up and aftermath of a big drop here. Also this nice clip of an alterantive French venue, the Massif central. Clip is from the top of the Tarn , but this is pretty high water to get that section running. I t reminded me what a good area this is for boating though. Water is temperamental in terms of levels but the coffee shops and patisseries are second to none. Makes the French Alps look like overcrowded corporate euro-culture by comparison. Be good to get back out there.

Some full on snow boarding for those of to the slopes... Pretty much matches my self image on skis! The reality of course might be substantially different. Thanks to steve for the extensive and demanding research that went into those Wink.

There is actually a vacancy on the rainchasers board for 'chief porn critic'. Its a tough job but someone has to do it! main criteria is more internet time than you know what to do with.
