Welsh Access

The National Assembly for Wales has reached consultaton phase "to examine the current position for access to inland water in Wales and to make recommendations". This is a golden opportunity for Wales to follow in the enlightened footsteps of Scotland. Please take a few minutes to send a reasoned reply. Sure its unlikely to come off. Sure your voice probably wont make a difference. However if everyone ducks it in favour of surfing for kayak porn, then things definately won't change for the better.

If England becomes the only place in the world where river access is so screwed up, it will, in the longer term, create more pressure for things to change here.

Friday Forecast 21st Aug

The bigger rivers here are still moving after a wet spell midweek. The forecast is for a dry day on saturday and then some rain coming in on sunday. This may bring the smaller stuff up later on on Sunday. So it looks like you may find some sport of you scratch around a bit.

Tides are very high so all the races will be doing their thing. Surf forecast is poor for the NE coast.

The Wet West Paddle Fest is getting closer. Sat/Sun 19th/20th September
