Hey,

First blog entry and I suppose I should introduce the club.  We are the Newton Rigg Paddling Club, whose members study at the University of Cumbria's Newton Rigg campus.  Most of the members are studying for degrees that have an emphasis on outdoor education.  Many of us have coaching qualifications and nearly all the members have lots of free time to go paddling.

We are due to have a whole load of freshers within the next few weeks.  For the next year we have taster days, BUCS competitions and a trip to Scotland.  We also hope to get to far away places such as Uganda and Morocco and then we've got the local rivers of the Lake District to play on.

We also frequent events like the NSR and all of us love a party and can't get enough of paddling.  Contact us if you want to go paddling or if your going to any events and would like someone you know to be there.
