Dont want to add to the media panic about the coming collapse of civilisation, but boaters did find and report a dead swan on the Leven in Cumbria a couple of weeks back. Seeing as there is a realistic chance of paddlers spotting swans, ducks etc that arent at their best, I thought I'd stick up the contact number at DEFRA for reporting such things;
