The rivers are very low, still, after the long cold and dry spell. There is a thaw forecast though. Rain will appear from the North West on Saturday afternoon in Scotland and we will get the dregs of it here by Sunday morning. Most of it will land north of the border. Sunday afternoon is the best bet if you can't travel North, but it's not looking that good. Tides are quite high. The surf forecast is unpromising for the North East coast. I've put the early calibration readings on DBP here but we could really do with more readings - if you're passing the Eamont, Greta or Duddon and they nudge up, it would be really helpful if you could snap a picture at Birks or Ulpha bridges on the Duddon, the get on at the Greta and Pooley Bridge on the Eden. We would also need to know the time that the picture was taken.
